What if you let whiskey mature in red wine barrels and then put an imperial stout in the same barrel? This barrel aged stout has clearly acquired the aromas of the red wine with a hint of whiskey in the background. The tannins from the wine provide a drier aftertaste, after which you will also find the bitterness and roasted malts of the stout.
Aroma: Duft av kaffe, sjokolade, fruktighet og fatpreg.
Smak: Fyldig med sjokolade, kaffe, vinøse toner, eik, lett bitterhet fra malt. Tørr avslutning.
