Pulpo Fiction 2022

Blend of wildberry mead and bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout with Ugandan vanilla and Spanish squid ink. An experimental braggot that came to life after trying different blends of mead and barrel-aged beer. For this release we ended up blending a strawberry-forward wildberry mead with our bourbon BA vanilla imperial stout (Golden Tears). The blend surprised us with some subtle umami notes that we wanted to highlight with a small dose of umami-rich squid ink. -------------------------- 2022 -------------------------- Honey variety: Wildflower Fruit varieties: Strawberry (Polka) Wild blueberry (bilberries) Aronia Apple (Discovery) Plum (Jubileum) Pear (Celina) The strawberry, wild blueberry and aronia is supported by a blend of apple, plum and pear juice that was used instead of water. *The vintage year refers to the harvest year of the honey and fruit*
