Skjoldmøy Eplesider

Skjoldmøy/Shieldmaiden is a dry cider available in 0.75L bottles and keykegs, crafted from a carefully selected blend of Rubinstep, Rubinola, and Rød Aroma apples grown at Sandalen Gård in Vistnes-Randaberg. The cider-making process begins with the careful juicing of ripe apples, followed by fermentation using white wine yeast at controlled temperatures to preserve the fruit’s natural character. After fermentation, the cider is gently filtered and stored in tanks for maturation. The cider is then bottled or kegged about six months after harvest, offering a crisp, clean taste that showcases the true essence of the apples. The latest edition of Skjoldmøy/Shieldmaiden features a unique label, proudly depicting one of the cider makers holding a sword, symbolizing the strength and craftsmanship behind this exceptional cider. Awarded the Silver Medal at the Nordic and Baltic Cider Awards (NICA) 2023, Skjoldmøy/Shieldmaiden has been praised for its "low intensity but clean aroma and taste, flawless, technically perfect." This recognition highlights the cider's outstanding quality and the care taken throughout its creation.
